The Hornets, captained by Matt Hutchison, played their second game against the Wolves. Another tight first half, but the strong Auckland/Hamilton squad drew on their experience, including several NZ Mako representatives, to come away with their second victory.
The Honey Badgers and Titans matched up in the middle of the day, with the Titans showing their moxy and opening the game with a touchdown. The Badgers though responded with a score of their own, before running away with a win.
