Coach Development Session Confirmation

2/9/2019

Picture
We are pleased to confirm that the previously advertised coach development session will be going ahead.

For members out of Auckland we will be recording the session and making the video available for review later.  We will advise regional session times once we have had the discussions with regional bodies.

There will be two sessions presented by Paul Manera:
1. Friday 13 September evening: 6:30pm start: 8:30pm finish.
2. Saturday 14 September morning: 9:30am start: 11:30am finish.

Venue:
Holiday Inn, Auckland Airport
2 Ascot Rd, Mangere, Auckland

The session is open to all members; coaches, officials, managers, parents & players
There is no charge.

Light refreshments will be served.
If you are going to attend one of these Auckland session s it would be helpful if you notified Russell (gm@nzaff.co.nz) which day you are attending so catering numbers can be confirmed.

The focus is on safe tackle techniques and best practice coaching safe tackle.
The issue of player safety continues to be a topic of concern in full contact sports and, as a sport, we need to be able to assure our members, both old and new, that our coaches and officials are up to date with the latest information regarding safe tackle techniques.
Ideally every coach and official involved in our sport should either attend this session in person or attend similar sessions in the regions once the video of the session is released.

Members that attend this session and the regional sessions will be acknowledged as having attended the Safe Tackle Seminar and will be listed on the NZAFF web site.

There may be time to cover other topics informally after the sessions so if you have a specific interest please let Russell (gm@nzaff.co.nz) know.
