As a sport we are often referred to as the worst sport for concussion incidents and whether that is true or not we should all be aware of the danger this type of injury poses to our players.
Awareness of the injury and the protocols around it is knowledge that should be shared widely - players, coaches, officials, parents & administrators - we can all play a part and this session is for all those people.
Dr. King has both clinical experience and practical experience having been a medic attending Ruby and League games.
His knowledge, experience and advice will be helpful to our playing community.
This is a great opportunity to show that we are proactive in addressing player safety.
As a cautionary note for all clubs and players here is an article regarding an incident that happened in England that resulted in the death of a player. This describes a situation that we do not want to be in whether it is in practice as this was or on game days. Article here.
Please spread this widely in your club so that members are aware that this session is available to them.
Anyone who registers will receive the Zoom invitation directly plus the link will be able to be shared to others.
