
NZAFF have been looking for some time at ways to assist Clubs and teams to raise funds for trips, equipment and other costs. After looking at several options, we have today launched a trial running an NZAFF online shop where people can purchase NZ American Football branded T-Shirts, Hoodies and mini American Footballs.
For the trial, all profits from the sale of items will go towards the upcoming U19 DownUnderBowl team travelling to the Gold Coast in Australia in July.
When making a purchase, people can select to support the team as a whole or a particular player. We are trialling this option as an incentive for the Players themselves to really push the fundraiser hard knowing they will directly benefit from the proceeds.
Should the trial prove successful, the idea is NZAFF member Clubs and Regions will be able to run their own fundraisers using the platform, with NZAFF helping around print set-up, gear sourcing and fulfilment.
NZAFF is not making any profit out of the online store fundraising platform - all funds, apart from the costs of the gear, shipping and the EFTPOS/Credit Card/Shopify fees, will be made available to the members.
