Head Coach - National Senior Men's Programme 2016
This is an Auckland-based role, with some domestic travel required.

The NZAFF board are waiting on our partners to finalise details of a potential game to be played in Auckland in July 2016. At this time there is no guarantee that this fixture will be played. Candidates must prepare themselves for the possibility that their position may be dissolved should the game fall through.
The Head Coach will be in charge of all on-field aspects of the programme, and will report directly to the NZAFF board. It is vitally important that the Head Coach shows strong leadership and communication skills to work with the board, players, and staff to ensure the success of this year's programme.

Objectives:
Working with the NZAFF board, the head coach is required to:
- Scout eligible players nationwide
- Identify a 45-player squad to play a match in Auckland in July 2016
- Nominate assistant coaches, co-ordinators, positional coaches
- Develop training plans and implement them
- Run training sessions
- Travel with the team and take full control on matchday
- Be the point of contact for all on-field issues
Requirements:
- Applicants must be able to attend all events scheduled for the national Senior Men's team, including trainings, camps, and the game itself.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate how they will integrate players from outside of the Auckland region into their training regime.
- Applicants must be willing and able to pass background checks.
- It is prefered that applicants for this role do not also apply for other Head Coach positions.

- Scouting Plan (All NZAFF members who meet the age and eligibilty criteria will need an opportunity to be scouted)
- National Camps (the NZAFF board will need to understand how often the full squad should be coming together)
- Training Regime (the week-by-week training programme outside of wider squad camps, including nights per week, breakdowns and schedules of individual sessions, resources required)
- Individual Goals (if individual markers for player improvement will be implemented as part of the training regime, how these will be monitored)
- Playbooks and Playing Style (what resources will be issued to players)
- Potential Staff Nominations (the Head Coach will be able to nominate their coaching staff for NZAFF board scrutiny, and applicants will be asked what staff roles they want to establish and who will fill them)
